Clean water, healthy air, and safe food — for every community in North Carolina

NCEAC fights for clean water, air, and food systems across North Carolina by organizing communities, documenting pollution, and holding industries accountable.

leading the change for nature and our communities

Our board of directors brings decades of experience advocating for the ecosystems and people of North Carolina. We are seasoned leaders leveraging community organizing, investigations, filmmaking, and legal and regulatory advocacy to make community voices heard and hold polluters accountable.

building a movement to bring polluters to justice

We’re building a volunteer SeeHawk Corps to hold polluters accountable. Volunteers will be trained to identify and document pollution in their region, using a mobile app to record field observations and turn them into maps, reports, and stories about impacts to water, soil, and air. We’ll support them to serve their communities and grow as advocates for change.

empowering the next generation of environmental champions

The Rick Dove Certificate in Environmental Advocacy & Leadership prepares the next generation of environmental advocates through hands-on, place-based training. Pairing ecojustice curriculum with real-world field experience and applied research, the program equips participants with the skills and networks to act.

“The truth is: the natural world is changing. And we are totally dependent on that world. It provides our food, water, and air. It is the most precious thing we have, and we need to defend it.”
